Skyted announces its set-up in Toulouse. The company develops inflight & metavers solutions to enhance passenger’s digital travel experience and offers new onboard services. 20 jobs will be created over the next three years. Invest-in-Toulouse and AD’OCC have been assisting Skyted.
Skyted in brief
After several years in Asia working for a seat manufacturer, Stéphane Hersen decides to create his own company.
The Toulouse-based company is currently designing a new headset, providing a “silent bubble” for discreet communication on board aircraft. By combining Covid-19 protection and a sound bubble, passengers can enjoy silent and confidential calls in flight. This new device offers “new nomads” total comfort and security when communicating verbally in transport, in open spaces and in the virtual world (web 3).
AD’OCC support companies from set-up to export
Invest-in-Toulouse and AD’OCC have been assisting the Singaporean company with its project from the very beginning. The agencies introduced Skyted’s managers to relevant clients and companies, including Airbus Development, which has just secured a contract. Today, the marketing is ongoing and the company is participating in export initiatives organised by AD’OCC and Business France. For instance, Skyted will be joining the Occitanie delegation at Aircraft Interiors in Hamburg from 14th to 16th June, 2022.
“50% of the European aerospace jobs are located in Toulouse. That was a key factor for Skyted to relocate to Occitanie. With the bespoke support from AD’OCC and Invest in Toulouse, we relocated in no time in the region. Through their contacts with Space incubator, start-ups, research labs and large multinational companies like Airbus, Skyted was in position to join this unique ecosystem and run the business in a matter of weeks”, points Stephane Hersen, CEO of Skyted.
